Located in the Portland metro area
After many years in the South, I found myself drawn to the majestic enchanted forests of the Pacific Northwest. I relocated to the Portland metro area in 2026 and thoroughly enjoy everything from the coffee to the rain.
7+ years experience
In 2018, after seven years in marketing, I was ready for something new. I'd played with web design on the side, but I wanted to go deeper—so I left my job and enrolled in a full-stack bootcamp. 🏋️♀️
Changing careers wasn't simple, but I was all in. A few months after finishing my program at DigitalCrafts, I started my first engineering role. That was almost seven years ago, and I haven't looked back. 😇
Lifelong learner
When I'm not coding, I enjoy building Lego sets, noodling on the piano (or occasionally guitar), and playing Scrabble. I am a serial hobbyist, so you might catch me doing anything from learning Japanese one week and knitting the next.
Summary
I'm a full-stack developer and I enjoy working in all areas of a codebase. I'm passionate about creating seamless UI/UX experiences that lead to acquiring and retaining users, creating new features using React/Javascript, Typescript and Scss. Not to mention, creating succinct and well-documented APIs that interface with third party integrations like Stripe and ShipEngine.

As a flexible engineer on a small team, I was able to interact with nearly every part of a large software application with which customers can create and publish their own websites. Among the many projects I worked on during my time at Universe, I created new api's for shipping integration and payment management. I was involved from the ground up on creating a new web platform to match the company's iOS app. Within this, I created UI flows for site management, merchant sign up, commerce and order management, new page publication, and subscription upsells, among many more projects.

As the front-end developer of a small team, I worked closely with project managers and designers to code client web applications to spec using Angular. The projects worked on include a web application for a healthcare device company, utilizing smart device connections to record usage data and metrics, as well as white-label application for an insurance conglomerate.

In the short four months I interned with Groundfloor, I designed and coded an experimental react native app to match the company's web app. I met with product owners regularly to receive feedback and share updates. I also contributed to a Vue.js UI dashboard project.
